Greater New Orleans Funding Network Website Rebuild
Project
The Greater New Orleans Funding Network (GNOFN) is a membership organization that connects funders with nonprofits working to strengthen communities across the Greater New Orleans region. In 2025, the organization is celebrating two major milestones: its 10th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina—both of which will involve a series of important community events and initiatives.
As GNOFN prepared for this significant year, the organization needed to modernize its website to better support its role as a central hub for members and partners. The existing site lacked modern design elements, robust event management tools, and a dedicated member login experience. Additionally, GNOFN wanted the website to integrate more seamlessly with platforms already central to its operations, including Mailchimp for communications and Zoom for virtual programming.
The goal of the redesign was to create a more polished and functional digital presence that could support increased engagement, streamline event participation, and better serve GNOFN’s growing network of members.
Solution
I led the redesign and full migration of the GNOFN website, rebuilding the public-facing site on Squarespace to create a visually refreshed platform that is easy for staff to manage and update. The new design improves navigation, strengthens the organization’s digital presence, and leverages a flexible layout to promote events and initiatives throughout the anniversary year.
To support GNOFN’s membership model, I also developed a dedicated member portal using WildApricot. This platform enables members to access exclusive resources, register for events, manage their accounts, and network with other members All existing members were successfully migrated to the new system, ensuring a smooth transition for the organization’s community.
The final solutions integrate key tools already used by the organization—including Mailchimp and Zoom—allowing GNOFN to automate communications, simplify event registration, and better manage its programming. Together, these improvements created a cohesive digital ecosystem that supports both the organization’s internal operations and the needs of its member network.
