Windy City Performing Arts 2025 Concert Season Social Graphics

Project

Windy City Performing Arts (WCPA) is a Chicago-based nonprofit arts organization that celebrates the dignity and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community through choral performance. Founded in 1983, WCPA is home to several ensembles that perform a wide range of musical styles—from classical masterworks to contemporary pop—while fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for performers and audiences alike.

For the 2025 concert season, WCPA sought a refreshed visual approach for its concert promotions. While the organization has a loyal base of longtime patrons, leadership wanted to evolve its design language to appeal to a younger and more diverse audience while still resonating with its existing supporters.

The challenge was to create a cohesive visual system for four separate concerts throughout the year that felt modern and engaging while capturing the unique tone of each performance.

Solution

I developed a series of four concert graphics that balanced seasonal warmth with a more contemporary visual style designed to attract a broader audience.

Each graphic uses abstract shapes and layered compositions to visually express the mood and themes of the individual concerts, allowing each performance to maintain its own identity while still feeling part of a cohesive series. The geometric forms create movement and energy, illustrating the themes of each concert.
